Bantu Knots on TWA

One of my good friends did the Big Chop a few months ago and her TWA is starting to grow out of the "Wash-N-Go" phase and she was looking for a new style; so I suggested Bantu Knots. They're relatively  easy to do and give great curl definition when you take them out. She was skeptical of doing them, so of course I volunteered to do her first set for her!

For her Bantu Knot set, which we did on wet hair, I used the Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-In Conditioner to detangle because it has great slip, the Tropical Roots Growth Oil to moisturize her hair, and the Tropical Roots Twist Cream to seal and define the twists.

I used my normal Bantu Knot regimen to create her Bantu Knots (Tutorial available HERE) and because her hair was still wet I put some bobby pins in to secure them while they dried.

With this style, you can sleep in it overnight and take out in the morning for more defined curls or leave the Bantu Knots in for a few days for uber defined curls!

Have you tried this style on your TWA, 'fro, or locs? What other styles do you suggest as your TWA grows into a 'fro?
