The meetup today was amazing, to say the least! The diversity of women that came out to the event was truly wonderful. There were women transitioning to natural hair, women with Sisterlocks, loose natural hair, and even someone that just did the big chop a week ago! In addition to the stunning women in attendance, the venues were really nice!

Koils By Nature is hosting their 1st natural hair event in the DC area this Saturday at the National Harbor! As Koils By Nature says "this is not just another natural hair meetup or expo……it’s an experience!" and I am excited to attend. Over the weekend, NaturalNouNou and I, went to the Ice Cream Social Meetup hosted by OyinHandmade and we had an AMAZING time!

We ended up arriving at about 4:30 PM, unbeknownst to us that the event started at 3:00 PM, so we were a tad bit late lol, but that didn't stop the fun. In fact, I think getting there after everyone had cleared out was best!

This Sunday, July 31st at 5pm** is the DMV Natural Hair Meetup hosted by CurlyNuGrowth.com! I am really excited to meet everyone and exchange advice & tips, eat good food, and share some good laughs!

**The start time for the meetup has been pushed back to 5pm - 7pm, instead of 2pm - 4pm, in order to accommodate the number of attendees that have RSVP'd!

We will be meeting in the Loft Room at Busboys & Poets @ 5th & K. When you enter the restaurant, come up the grand spiral staircase to the second story loft. The Loft Room overlooks the entire restaurant & will be a great mingling area for everyone.
