Pipe Cleaners Set Tutorial

I achieved this curly set by using Pipe Cleaners (yes the things we used to play with as a kid) and I must say, 3rd time is a charm. My previous experiences with Pipe Cleaners [HERE] weren't that pleasant, even though they always produce nice curls I'd lose so much hair. But this time around, none of the Pipe Cleaners got stuck and needed to be ripped from my head, YAY!

Loc Soc vs. Dreadsock: Which Is Best For Protecting Your Locs?

Protecting your locs at night is very important, especially if you want to retain moisture and prevent lint from getting trapped in your locs. One of the most common ways to protect your hair at night is with a satin bonnet, but how many men with locs will wear a satin bonnet? Or how many women have really long locs that don't fit into a satin bonnet? The Loc Soc and/or Dreadsock seek to solve that problem.

[Event] Baltimore Natural Hair Care Expo

I attended the Baltimore Natural Hair Care Expo back in 2010 and it was definitely a great event! There were a lot of vendors selling Natural Hair Care products, Ethnic jewelry and apparel, as well as shows and workshops. I am excited to see what the 2012 Natural Hair Care Expo has to offer!

My Hair Goals For March

Pipe Cleaner Curls

After lots of slippage last month [READ HERE], I'm going to try to stay out of my hair and only do curly styles for the month of March. I love doing curly sets because they last for a really long time with only using water and my Sisterlocks look "styled" everyday with little effort. 

Retightening After Major Slippage

Retightening Time: 3.5 Hours

Sisterlocks Age: 16 Months

Time Between Retightening: 6 Weeks
