Pipe Cleaner Curls |
After lots of slippage last month [READ HERE], I'm going to try to stay out of my hair and only do curly styles for the month of March. I love doing curly sets because they last for a really long time with only using water and my Sisterlocks look "styled" everyday with little effort.
Since I'll already be doing curly sets, I figured I would also make tutorials for the styles that I do. Yay, right?! So here are a few of the tutorials that I have planned this month:
Lock Loops Set
Pipe Cleaners Set [Posted HERE]
Pin Curl Set [Posted HERE]
Let me know if you'd like to see any other style tutorials.
What are your hair goals this month?

I like curly styles for the same reason you do: Cute hair with minimal effort. I'm a huge fan of Lock Loops; I've done a giveaway with them, multiple posts, and a video.
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking back for the pin curls. Althoug I'm a dread, I think this is a style that could work for me, too.
Yeah, curly styles are great! Pin Curls look amazing on traditional locs, and I am excited to give them a try to see how they will turn out on Sisterlocks.
DeleteI love the look in your photo! How was it achieved? Flexi rods or pipe cleaners?
ReplyDeleteThank you sis! Those are Pipe Cleaner curls
DeleteLove! I tried to do this on my "11 months locs" but i guess i still haven't figured out how to get the cleaners in... once i do i'll feature it on my blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is my third time doing them and each time has gotten better...just keep trying! :)
DeleteHey CurlyNugrowth!!!Im currently considering starting sisterlocks and have about 3 inches of hair which I started growing last year in December.I have been doing lots of research on locks and the type that suits me and I finally came across your youtube videos and was inspired!!I have got really fine hair and I would like some advice on whether sisterlocks will be good for me and whether I can start them with the length I have.I also would like to know more about the hair types 3A,3C and 4A on your home page.I cannot wait to finally start my journey and being a part of the curlynugrowth fam will certainly help!!Let me know! Thanks x
ReplyDeleteHey Rafiona! Sorry for the late response, but you can absolutely get Sisterlocks with 3 in of hair, its its natural but if you have relaxer on the ends, you need 4 inchs of hair. My hair is pretty fine too, and I have really been enjoying my Sisterlocks. I appreciate you checking out my blog and YouTube channel and if you have any other questions, email me directly (jojo@curlynugrowth.com)
DeleteHello CurlyNuGrowth,
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog and have been sisterlocked now for 9 months. I am wondering about a style that you have done with your locks--pincurls: http://curlynugrowth.tumblr.com/post/19994464645/pin-curls
I love this shaped look! I have been waiting for the tutorial and having seen it yet, so I thought to ask.
Willl you do one? PLEASE!?
Hey! Thank you so much for following along with my journey! I am definitely going to make a tutorial for the Pin Curls style. I had recorded one but it didn't come out as I'd hoped, but the new one shall be up very soon!
