In the Stylist's Chair: Relaxed to Marley

As much as it pains me, my little sister has a relaxer **POUTS** but I have started taking care of her hair and since then its become a lot more healthy. As we all know, "good hair" is healthy hair so relaxed or not she is doing what makes her happy.

When she asked me this week to put "Marley Twists" in her hair, I was so excited because you know the marley braid hair is textured and so I knew it would give her a more natural look and deep down inside I was going to try to convince her to go natural again **sneaky grin**. Unfortunately, the "Marley Twists" didn't change her mind about being natural (lol!) but they did give her a beautiful island-look....

This was one of my favorite shots. It reminds me of Calypso from "Pirates of the Caribbean"...

Can you tell that I added a few highlights to give her "Marley Twists" some dimension. We used a golden blonde color and an auburn color in her set of "Marley Twists".

I love that you can't even tell she has a relaxer, that the twists look natural, and she will have a break for a few weeks from manipulating her hair.
