I use a version of this with ACV, Perioxide, and water. I suffer from seborric dermatitis and was desperate to end those flakes! I found this on the internet. I also have color treated hair and so far so problems. I shampoo then pour the mixture over my head. I leave it for 5 to 10 mins then rinse.
I would use the ACV & Baking Soda combo maybe every 3 month or so because the Baking Soda can be pretty harsh. I have started to use ACV in normal shampoo regimen every 2-3 weeks though. With my Sisterlocks, I don't use any conditioner, just the Sisterlocks "Getting Started" shampoo.
I'm a newbie to the sisterlock world. Can I start using the ACV in the beginning with the starter shampoo or should I wait for them to mature for a few months and just stick with the shampoo? I have always suffured with itchy dry scelp. Been hear great benefits from the AVC method.

ReplyDeleteBe careful with using Hydrogen Peroxide, it is really drying and especially with colored hair.

DeleteWelcome to the Sisterlock Family! You can definitely use the ACV Rinse (dilute 3:1) now and then follow the rinse with the 'Getting Started' shampoo!
