One of my personal goals for 2012 is to read more books because we have to educate ourselves; knowledge is key! If you recall, I posted a while back [HERE] about a few books that I am interested in reading, and figured its time to start! With that being said, the first book that I am going to dive into is The Science of Black Hair by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy.
I've heard nothing but really great reviews about this book and the information that it provides about African-American hair and hair care. I feel like everyone, whether you have a relaxer, are transitioning, or have natural hair / locs, would benefit from the information in this book.
If you're interested in reading The Science of Black Hair with me, I plan to start reading next Friday, February 10th, and hopefully finish within about two weeks. I'd love to have a few discussions about the book while I'm reading through it, so be sure to subscribe to the blog and/or join the CurlyNuGrowth Facebook page [HERE]. If you've already read through the book, definitely feel free to join in on the discussions as well!
The Science of Black Hair is available on various e-Readers such as the Nook [HERE] and the Kindle [HERE].
